Queensland’s new planning system commenced on 3 July 2017. The new planning system established through the Planning Act 2016, provide the basis for securing the liveability, sustainability and prosperity of our communities, both now and into the future.
This website provides an overview of the key changes and benefits of the new planning system, compared to the previous, which was established under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (repealed on 3 July 2017).
